Biography
Alex Cohen is a PhD student in the American Politics subfield. He is interested in symbolic politics and political rhetoric surrounding American Civil Religion and nationalism, as well as American Political Development and the intersection between political and electoral institutions and racial politics. Before joining the Ph.D. program, he worked at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, where he worked on issues of constitutional reform and served as the lead research assistant and project manager on The People's Constitution (The New Press, 2021).
